HEALTHY WINTER

It may be cold and frosty outside, but winter needn't be the unhealthiest time of the year for you, just remember some simple things you can do:
  1. Drink plenty of water! 
  2. Eat healthfully. Have at least one hot meal a day. Eatng regularly helps keeps energy levels up during winter.
  3. Eat more fruit and vegetables. Winter vegetables such as carrots, parsnips and turnips can be roasted, mashed or made into soup for a comforting winter meal for the whole family.Onion and garlic are extremely good for your health too.
  4. Have regular hot drinks. Warm herbal teas with honey and lemon are also very soothing and a great way to hydrate.
  5. Rest and sleep enough.
  6. Wrap up warm but comfortable! Wear shoes with a good grip if you need to go outside on cold days.
  7. Exercise. Be active! Go walking, sledging, skiing, skating, whatever . Have fun outdoors!
  8. Be happy. Avoiding stress keeps your immune system strong!
